Upon Successful implementation, the periodic maintenance and tuning of Cisco's NAC Profiler system is an important consideration. This service offering is a foundation for best practices deployment, tuning and reporting.
Proper tuning of the Profiler deployment requires a detailed prerequisite knowledge of the product and its components. Great Bay can advise and assist with profiling and tuning considerations that are instrumental to a successful deployment to better maintain and leverage the investment in Profiler. The Tuning Service is an iterative approach to provide optimized performance and accuracy through scheduled tuning and reporting. Below is a list of sample tasks included with the service.

The Remote Tuning Service will provide:
- Review Profiler Endpoint Profiling collection techniques and suggest any appropriate modifications, enhancements, or additions to the existing profiles
- Review / Verify Profiler Server(s) operational state, including disk usage considerations, model operations and configurations and basic interface utilization
- Review / Verify Profiler Collector(s) operational state including module operations and basic interface utilization
- Perform a backup of the Profiler database to desired location
- Review status of Profiler appliances in terms of the underlying OS and resources
- Verify / Review Profiler events configuration and make recommendations for possible adjustments and additions
- Review current Profiler implementation and make recommendations on activation of potentially new / unused features
- Perform tuning of database maintenance parameters for optimized performance
- Perform Profiler upgrades (patch updates, new release version) as recommended and approved by Customer
