Air Academy Federal Credit Union (AAFCU®), headquartered in Colorado, provides comprehensive financial products and services in all 50 states and overseas. With $420 million in assets, it has been member-owned since 1955.

With the charter of enhancing and protecting member finances, the credit union’s top priority is to ensure the safety and security of client information. For this reason, AAFCU® sought the expertise of Great Bay Software when it was time to upgrade their existing endpoint and network security solution.

The credit union is continually looking for state-of-the art security technologies, especially as the cyberthreat landscape is increasing in size and is becoming more complex. The financial institution’s goal was to become more proactive in detecting, profiling and identifying 100% of network-attached endpoints, including smart and unmanaged devices, and even those that do not hold a software supplicant. Additionally, prior to selecting Great Bay Software, AAFCU® was using a “sticky MAC address filtering” method. However, this method posed a primary challenge to achieving complete visibility because it was unable to detect when an unauthorized device joined the network.
